Hey guys, let's get a bit nerdy. So I had the opportunity to work with hollow blocks on the slab of the first floor of a certain construction site and I was just amused by it. An engineer I worked under on my attachment period mentioned they are mostly used when the thickness of the slab is more than 150mm and this would mean that a lot of concrete would have to be used to achieve that height and hence a higher cost of construction.
